Firm Foundation / Prayer Meeting

Heyhey! It’s my first time attending PM, and I truly thank God for the wonderful testimonies given by the people in church. It really makes me feel proud to be a Christian because I know that God truly loves us, and He will always be with us in every step that we take.

I really have been a blessed child, to know about Jesus Christ since young. It’s really wonderful to have someone to love you even when you’ve done bad things. And its even more astounding to know that God sent Jesus Christ down to earth, to die on a cross just to save us from our sins. God is indeed a God of love.
To a non-believer, the books in the bible may seem more fairytale-like rather than of truth and history. But believe me (to any who are reading my blog now), when you accept Jesus whole-heartedly, and when you surrender your all to God, every single ‘coincidence’, ‘chance’ or ‘luck’ that happens to you, is actually indeed God answering to your prayers.

I have witnessed so much throughout this holiday. I’d say that this holiday has been the turning point for me to start walking even closer to God. After attending Church Camp ’05, Sunday’s sermons and Wednesday’s Firm Foundation, I’ve come to accept God’s plans for me, because I know that walking with God and doing what God wants will not only save me from the depths of hell, but to also enrich me with a fulfilling life. The friends you have in church will be your friends for life, even in heaven.

While I know that I have been rather lazy lately, (not even having a temp job), but I do know that this holiday experience cannot be compared to the amount of money that I can make. In the past, I focused too much on school work, and too much on getting part-time jobs (even on Sundays) just to make ends meet. But I realised that my ambition took me further away from God. But now that I’m back on track, I pray that I’ll be able to do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13). Now that my father’s going to retire soon, I just pray that God will provide my family with sufficient needs, and at the same time, let them believe and surrender their lives to the God who has already provided me.

All in all, God is my provider. Believe in Him as He is real, believe in Him as He keeps His promises. And finally, believe in Him, because we are saved from our sins.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
